75 versus 90 ball Bingo, what is the difference?

Bingo is a game whereby there are several numbers and letters in a hopper that are at continual movement. Whether being pulled manually or electronically the numbers are pulled and placed with an equally random letter, giving a pair that is then attempted to be matched to your card or ticket. The first person who is able to match all of the combinations on their card or ticket is the winner.

Bingo is set up with two variations while the 75 ball bingo version is the standard in America, its 90 ball counterpart is the standard in the UK, Australia and parts of Europe.Whichever you are playing you must first purchase a card or ticket with pre-selected random combinations of letters and numbers on them. As the combination pairs are picked, the player is to cross off or mark the pairs which have been called in an attempt to get all the matches on your card filled. If you are able to match the entire ticket or card, then you win the jackpot.

In the 75 ball game, there are 75 numbers in five columns of 15 numbers each. Each of the columns is represented by one of the letters in the word bingo which are found at the top of the ticket. The cards usually have 25 squares located on them five square across and five down. The numbers are randomly assigned one through 75. There are over 6000 different patterns combinations for 75 ball bingo. As the letters and numbers are called out, the object is to get either an entire row, column or diagonal matched and shaded. The first person to do so, wins.

In the 90 ball game, the cards are called tickets and each ticket has nine columns and three rows. Tickets are sold in sixes and each of the cards has 90 numbers distributed on the six tickets. Of the nine squares located in each row, 5 of them have numbers ranging from 1 - 90, while the remaining remain blank. Each game has 3 winning patterns, a single, two or three horizontal lines. Three horizontal lines are a full house and each pattern wins a different prize. The game continues even after the first winner until a player gets the remaining prizes.
